Jharkhand far better than Bihar: CM Munda
RANCHI: Chief minister Arjun Munda on Friday took strong exception to RJD chief Laloo Prasad Yadav''s statement that there had been no development in the state during the BJP rule and that the creation of Jharkhand was a mistake.
Stating that Jharkhand was steadily developing, Munda, while addressing a press conference here, said the state was in a far better condition than Bihar.
1x1 polls

Asserting that JMM and Congress did not want development of the region and that the only intention of the two parties was to enjoy the fruits of power, Munda asked these parties to clarify their position on entering into an alliance with the RJD, which has virtually sealed development in Bihar.
Taking note of Laloo Yadav''s appeal to the extremist outfits to support the JMM-Cong-RJD alliance, Munda said the RJD was trying to destabilise the nation.
He said alliance is trying to project that Jharkhand was carved out of Bihar only as a result of effort made by these parties. However, he said, that the BJP had made it clear that it would form separate states if the party came to power.
Reflecting upon the recent survey results that have projected majority for NDA in the country but a rather dismal picture in Jharkhand, Munda said the accuracy of the polls could be known only after the elections.
However, he was sure of a satisfying outcome here.
